NSITF Pledges Ethical Reforms, Professionalism in Workforce

The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has pledged to eradicate poor work ethics and entrench a culture of integrity and professionalism across its offices nationwide.

Managing Director/Chief Executive, Oluwaseun Faleye, made the commitment in Nasarawa State while addressing participants at a Workshop on Ethical Reorientation organised by the Association of Senior Staff of Banks, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions (ASSBIFI), NSITF Domestic Unit, for union coordinators and human resource professionals.

Faleye described the programme as one that “touches the very heart of institutional growth and staff development,” noting that the theme, “Ethical Reorientation to Enhance Awareness of Responsibilities in Promoting Management Policies and Core Values,” was both timely and crucial to repositioning the Fund.

> “Together, we must build bridges, not walls; deepen synergy, not suspicion; and move from fragmented efforts to collective impact. This is the spirit that will carry our Fund to greater heights,” he told participants.

He credited staff support since his assumption of office in July 2024 for fostering industrial harmony, which, he said, has allowed management to remain focused on its mandate.

Faleye added that the workshop was “a reaffirmation of our duty to the Nigerian worker and the Nigerian state,” urging participants to realign their responsibilities with the Fund’s core values.

Quoting the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, he said:

“It is only through cooperation, hard work and perseverance that we can achieve greatness as a people.”

He further assured that management would continue to back initiatives that promote productivity, urging staff to put the lessons from the programme into practice.

Earlier, ASSBIFI President, Comrade Olusoji Oluwole, explained that the two-day event was aimed at fostering ethical awareness and aligning staff responsibilities with organisational policies and values. Human resource experts from the Fund’s regional and branch offices also participated.
