No fewer than 10 Super Eagles players have arrived at the team’s camp in Cairo as preparations begin for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The camp officially opened on Sunday at the Renaissance Hotel, Cairo, with all coaches and backroom staff already present ahead of the tournament.

Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho was the first player to arrive, landing shortly after 2 a.m. local time. His arrival marked the start of full squad mobilisation and his return to the national team after more than a year away. He is one of the three goalkeepers named in head coach Eric Chelle’s 28-man squad.

Stanley Nwabali arrived next, followed by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, bringing the number in camp to four. Later in the day, six more players — Amas Obasogie, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Igho Ogbu, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Tochukwu Nnadi — joined the camp, increasing the total to 10.

More players are expected to arrive in the coming hours as Nigeria steps up preparations for the tournament. The team is scheduled to hold its first training session later on Sunday.
