Toddler Among 10 Killed in Fresh Strikes in Northern Gaza

At least 10 people, including a toddler, have been killed in separate Israeli strikes in northern Gaza Strip, according to the territory’s civil defence agency.

The agency’s spokesperson, Mahmoud Bassal, said four people died in a strike targeting a police vehicle in Gaza City. Among them was three-year-old Yahya al-Mallahi. Several others were also injured in the incident.

The bodies of the victims were received at Al-Shifa Hospital, which confirmed the fatalities.

In a separate development, another individual was reportedly killed by Israeli fire in the Beit Lahia area earlier the same day. The Israeli military said it had targeted an “armed terrorist” who approached its position near the so-called Yellow Line, though it was unclear if both incidents were related.

Later on Tuesday, more casualties were reported after a strike near an intersection in the Al-Shati refugee camp, also in Gaza City. Hospital sources confirmed receiving five additional bodies from that attack.

The Israeli military said it was reviewing details of the incidents and did not immediately comment on all reported strikes.

The violence comes despite a ceasefire that took effect on October 10, following more than two years of war between Hamas and Israel. Both sides have repeatedly accused each other of violating the truce.

According to Gaza’s health authorities, at least 757 people have been killed in the territory since the ceasefire began, while Israel reports that five of its soldiers have died during the same period.

Ongoing restrictions on media access in Gaza have made it difficult to independently verify casualty figures or fully document events on the ground.
