Deji Adeleke Donates N500m as Osun Launches Security Trust Fund

Billionaire businessman Deji Adeleke has donated N500 million to support the newly launched Osun State Security Trust Fund.

The donation was announced on Thursday during the official unveiling of the fund by Ademola Adeleke in Osogbo. In addition, the state government committed N300 million as initial funding for the initiative.

According to a statement released by the governor’s spokesperson, the contribution from Adeleke formed a major part of the early financial backing for the fund, alongside donations from various businesses.

Speaking at the launch, Governor Adeleke said the initiative is aimed at strengthening security infrastructure across the state and improving the capacity of security agencies.

He revealed that refurbished Armoured Personnel Carriers and new patrol vehicles would soon be deployed to support security operations.

“This is not a political project but a necessary step to protect our people,” the governor said, adding that the fund would provide sustainable financing for modern security tools and systems.
