The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates can now print their 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) original result slips, with the documents becoming available within two hours of issuance.

JAMB disclosed this in a statement released on Wednesday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.

According to the board, the original result slip contains important details such as the candidate’s photograph, national ranking and other security features needed for admission processes and post-UTME screening exercises.

“The 2026 UTME Original Result Slip will be available for printing within the next two hours today, Wednesday, June 17, 2026,” the statement said.

JAMB explained that the document is an official requirement for admission consideration by tertiary institutions and can be printed from any internet-enabled device, either at home, in offices or at accredited business centres.

Candidates were advised to carefully verify all information on the printed slip and keep copies for future use during the admission process.

The 2026 UTME was conducted in April, while a mop-up examination was held on June 13 for candidates affected by technical challenges or biometric verification issues during the main exercise.

Results of the mop-up examination were released on Tuesday, June 16.

The board had earlier delayed the printing of the original result slips to allow the completion of foreign-based examinations and the mop-up exercise.

With the release of the slips, candidates can now proceed with applications for the 2026/2027 admission cycle, as several tertiary institutions across the country have already commenced or are preparing to begin their post-UTME registration processes.
