The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, announced on Tuesday, March 12, that the security situation in Abuja has significantly improved. His statement came during a visit from the Ambassador of Poland to Nigeria, Mrs Joanna Tarnawska, in Abuja.
Wike highlighted that Abuja is now safe for everyone, including foreigners, to conduct their businesses without fear. He expressed satisfaction in ensuring the safety of all foreigners carrying out their activities in the city, emphasizing Abuja's status as a secure and attractive destination.
During the meeting, Wike emphasized the cordial relationship between Nigeria and Poland, stating the FCT Administration's readiness to collaborate with Poland in developing its agriculture sector. He proposed that Poland could facilitate the establishment of large farms in Abuja, providing employment opportunities for youths and potentially transferring ownership to them over time.
Ambassador Tarnawska, who has served as Ambassador of Poland to Nigeria for over five years, described Nigeria as a very interesting place to live in. She assured the minister of Poland's commitment to maintaining and strengthening the bilateral relationship with Nigeria, exploring new avenues of cooperation for mutual benefits.
