An accident involving two commercial vehicles occurred along Lokoja/Kabba Road in Kogi state. The collision happened when one of the vehicles attempted to overtake a truck and collided with an oncoming vehicle.
The number of casualties remains unknown as rescue operations are still in progress. Samuel Oyedeji, the state sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed the incident and stated that the rescue efforts are ongoing.
“I have not been properly briefed so I cannot give you further details as to the casualty figure. Rescue operation is still ongoing, I will issue a statement as soon as I get briefed by my men on the scene,” he said.
