Adedeji Adeleke, the father of music star Davido and a prominent business mogul, has announced plans to construct Nigeria’s largest thermal power plant. Speaking at the Seventh Day Adventist General Conference Annual Council, Adeleke revealed that his current power plant already generates about 15% of the country's electricity.

The new 1,250MW power plant, which is expected to become operational by January, will significantly increase Nigeria's power capacity. Adeleke's collaboration with Chinese engineering companies has been crucial to the development of the project.
