Aston Villa has made an initial bid for Fiorentina's 19-year-old full-back, Michael Kayode, who impressed in Serie A last season. Transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla reported that Villa plans to use funds from Douglas Luiz's sale to Juventus to finance the deal.
Villa's sporting director, Monchi, is a significant admirer of Kayode. The Birmingham club's opening offer is €15 million plus bonuses, while Fiorentina seeks around €20 million, with both parties nearing an agreement.
Kayode, of Nigerian descent, progressed through Juventus' youth ranks before joining Fiorentina's under-19 squad in 2021. He made 26 Serie A appearances and played six UEFA Conference League matches last season, where Fiorentina reached the final.
