Popular cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has appeared at the Federal High Court in Lagos to face charges of money laundering and naira abuse. Bobrisky was reportedly detained by the EFCC in Lagos, with the agency filing a six-count charge against him related to these allegations. Scheduled to appear before Justice Abimbola Awogboro, the vacation judge, Bobrisky is expected to enter his plea.
The 31-year-old cross-dresser's legal troubles began after a video surfaced of him spraying and flaunting wads of new Naira notes at the premiere of a movie, "Ajakaju," produced by Nollywood actress and producer Eniola Ajao at Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos, on March 24, 2024. Despite being offered administrative bail on Thursday, Bobrisky remained in EFCC detention since Wednesday night.
