Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, was removed from a KLM flight to Amsterdam on Thursday amid claims of interference from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Social commentator Isaac Fayose initially posted a photo with Bobrisky on Instagram, revealing they were both on the same flight to London. However, a viral video captured airport officials escorting the social media personality off the plane.
Following the incident, Bobrisky took to Instagram, alleging EFCC involvement and claiming he was injured during the detention. "Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured," he wrote, sparking public reactions online.
This latest incident adds to a series of controversies surrounding Bobrisky. In April, he was sentenced to six months in prison by the Federal High Court in Lagos for naira abuse, and on October 22, he was reportedly intercepted at the Sème border while allegedly attempting to flee the country.
