Controversial cross-dresser Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, is currently in detention at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos. He was arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) while attempting to exit Nigeria through the Seme border.
A source revealed that Bobrisky was brought to the FCID on Monday night for safekeeping, where he spent the night in a cell. His detention followed his arrest by Immigration officials on Sunday.
The spokesperson for the FCID, Mayegun Aminat, confirmed that Bobrisky is being held at their facility, awaiting a remand order to formalize his continued custody.
According to the NIS, Bobrisky is a person of interest and is undergoing interrogation for issues of public concern. He will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action. The NIS emphasized its commitment to maintaining professionalism while securing Nigeria's borders.
