The Kaduna State Police Command has welcomed its 45th Commissioner of Police, Mr. Muhammad Rabiu, who officially assumed duty on Tuesday. According to the Command's spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, Rabiu brings extensive experience and professionalism to his new role, succeeding Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, recently promoted to Assistant Inspector General (AIG).
Born on July 16, 1969, in Katsina State’s Ketare District, Rabiu joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1994. He holds a degree from Bayero University, Kano, and a Master’s in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. His distinguished career includes roles as Divisional Police Officer in multiple locations, operational leadership positions, and strategic roles such as Deputy Commander of Operation Safe Haven in Jos and DC Operations at Ondo Police Command.
Rabiu’s exceptional service has earned him numerous commendations for gallantry and professionalism. He is renowned for his expertise in operational leadership, fostering police-community relations, and implementing intelligence-driven strategies to combat crime. These qualities are expected to strengthen public trust and enhance security across Kaduna State.
The command expressed confidence in Rabiu’s ability to lead effectively, emphasizing that his tenure would promote peace and stability. “The Kaduna State Police Command is confident that CP Muhammad Rabiu’s extensive experience and commitment to service will enhance security and foster public trust,” DSP Hassan stated.
