As the holiday season approaches, Dangote Refinery has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to N899.50 per litre, providing much-needed relief to Nigerians amid rising travel expenses. This development, announced by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, marks a further drop from the N970 per litre set on November 24.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Chiejina revealed an innovative credit scheme to ease the financial burden of transportation costs during the festive period. Consumers purchasing PMS in cash can buy an additional litre on credit, secured through a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank. “This initiative aims to alleviate transport costs during the holidays while offering Nigerians value for their patronage,” Chiejina said.
The refinery also reaffirmed its commitment to supplying high-quality and eco-friendly petroleum products. It emphasized that its operations are curbing Nigeria's reliance on substandard, blended imports that have historically damaged human health, machinery, and the environment.
Africa's first privately-owned oil refining facility, Dangote Refinery, continues to position itself as a transformative force in Nigeria’s energy sector. The refinery thanked Nigerians for their unwavering support and assured them of competitive prices as part of its dedication to improving the nation’s energy landscape.
