Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced its plans to refund customers who purchased Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as fuel, at the previous rate of N890 per litre before the recent price reduction. The move comes after the company decided to lower its gantry price from N890 to N825 per litre.
Refund Details and Process
The company confirmed that it will reimburse N65 per litre for over 200,000 metric tonnes of PMS that were purchased at the old price. This initiative ensures that marketers who bought the fuel at the previous price will be compensated for the price difference.
In a statement shared via X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, March 3, 2025, the refinery outlined the process for obtaining the refund. Receipts of payment, including the station's name, will be required to claim the refund.
Commitment to Fair Pricing and Consumer Support
This refund initiative reflects Dangote Refinery's commitment to ensuring that Nigerians benefit from the price reduction and its dedication to maintaining affordable fuel pricing. The company has emphasized its aim to ensure that none of its business partners incur losses due to the price change.
Customers are encouraged to follow the procedures outlined in the statement to receive their refund promptly.
