Three individuals lost their lives in a clash between two communities in Adamawa State. The incident occurred between the Selti and Kpasham communities, situated in Numan and Demsa local government areas, respectively. The Adamawa Police Command issued a statement on Wednesday morning confirming the incident.
According to the statement signed by the Adamawa Police spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, personally led a team of police operatives to the scene following reports of communal violence. The police team patrolled the area, assessed the situation, and restored order. As a result, the communities are now reported to be calm.
While normalcy has been restored, the police stated that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible for the violence. The Commissioner of Police assured that the perpetrators would be prosecuted diligently, emphasizing that the command would not tolerate any actions that disrupt the peace of the state.
