Defence Ministers Condemn Delta State Killings, Vow Swift Justice for Perpetrators

The Defence Minister, Muhammed Badaru, and Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, have strongly condemned the killing of military operatives in Delta State. The incident, which occurred during a rescue mission in Okuama Community, Ughelli South Local Government Area, led to the tragic deaths of operatives from the 181 Amphibious Battalion.

In a joint statement on Monday, the Ministers expressed their deep concern and stated that the perpetrators of this heinous act must be brought to justice. They highlighted the sacrifices made by military personnel in defending the nation and emphasized the need to honor their dedication and courage.

The Ministers reiterated their commitment to ensuring the security and well-being of all Nigerians, emphasizing that any threat to the nation's sovereignty and stability would not be tolerated. They promised that every effort would be made to ensure that the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's renewed hope agenda.

The statement concluded with the Ministers affirming their dedication to pursuing peace and tranquillity across the nation.
