Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has strongly denounced the senseless killing of officers and soldiers affiliated with the 63 Brigade in Okuama community, Ughelli South Local Government Area. Expressing his condolences, Governor Oborevwori extended his sympathy to the military and the bereaved families affected by the tragic incident.
In a statement released by his chief press secretary, Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori emphasized that such violence contradicts the cultural values of Deltans. He described the attack as reprehensible and incongruent with the peace-focused ethos promoted by the state government under the MORE agenda.
Governor Oborevwori affirmed the government's commitment to justice, promising to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they face legal consequences. He underscored Delta State's adherence to the rule of law and human dignity, asserting that acts of this nature will not be tolerated.
