Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu has affirmed the National Assembly's readiness to revise existing laws to enhance investor confidence and facilitate direct foreign investments. He highlighted the conducive environment created by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, which is welcoming to foreign investments.
Speaking at the 64th birthday celebration of His Majesty, the Emperor of Japan, Prince Hiro Naruhito in Abuja, Kalu emphasized the longstanding diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Japan. He urged Japan and the global community to capitalize on the opportunities provided by the current administration and increase investments in Nigeria.
Kalu praised Japan's technological advancements and expressed the need for Nigeria to utilize Japanese technology to add value to its primary products. He highlighted Japan's contributions in areas such as military assistance and communication equipment, emphasizing Nigeria's openness to more collaborations.
Asserting that Nigeria is open for business under President Tinubu's leadership, Kalu reassured of the government's commitment to removing obstacles that hinder investors. He invited Japan to take advantage of the favorable investment climate, promising legislative interventions to boost investor confidence and facilitate smoother investments, especially from Japan.
