A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) attached to the Zone 9 Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) tragically passed away on Thursday after collapsing at one of the eateries within the headquarters.
According to sources, the officer had just returned from an assignment with his team and went for a meal when he began to exhibit strange behavior. Shortly after, he collapsed.
The DSP was immediately taken to the police clinic at the Central Police Station and later transferred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Umuahia. Unfortunately, he was confirmed dead upon arrival at the hospital.
His body has been deposited at the FMC morgue, and an investigation into the cause of his death is underway.
