Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has authorized a new minimum wage of N70,000 for civil servants in the state. The announcement was made by the governor during the commissioning of the new Labour House in Edo State on Monday, April 29.
Governor Obaseki stated that the new minimum wage, which is anticipated to come into effect on May 1st, 2024, is part of his administration's commitment to improving the welfare of civil servants in the state.
