The Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended 39 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in various locations within Benin City.
According to EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale, the arrests were made based on actionable intelligence indicating their alleged involvement in computer-related fraud. Among the items seized from the suspects were eight cars, laptops, and mobile phones. Oyewale stated that the suspects would be promptly arraigned in court.
