Ekiti Court Grants Dele Farotimi ₦30 Million Bail with Strict Conditions

A magistrate court in Ado-Ekiti has granted bail to human rights activist Dele Farotimi in the sum of ₦30 million.

The development was announced by Omoyele Sowore, the 2023 African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, via his X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday.

Bail Conditions

Farotimi's bail includes stringent conditions:

  1. A ₦30 million bond.
  2. Two sureties, one of whom must be a property owner.
  3. Submission of his international passport.
  4. A restriction on granting media interviews.
