A High Court in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has granted bail to former Taraba Governor Darius Ishaku and a former Permanent Secretary, Bello Yero, setting the amount at N150 million each. Justice Sylvanus Oriji, who presided over the ruling, ordered both defendants to provide two sureties—one of whom must be a director in the Federal Civil Service and the other, a resident of the FCT.
The court also placed a travel restriction on Ishaku and Yero, barring them from leaving the country without prior permission from the court. The ex-governor, appearing frail and using a walking stick, left the courtroom with his co-defendant under the watch of EFCC officials.
