Lagos lawyer Femi Falana has strongly denied any connection to allegations of bribery and money laundering involving popular social media personality Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky. The accusations emerged from a viral video by blogger Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, claiming that officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accepted a N15 million bribe from Bobrisky to drop charges against him.
The video also suggested that Falana sought a presidential pardon for Bobrisky in exchange for N10 million. However, speaking on Channels Television’s “Politics Today,” Falana dismissed the claims, stating, “Bobrisky never spoke to me. I have never met him. I do not know him from Adam.” He clarified that Bobrisky had allegedly contacted his son, Folarin (Falz), instead.

According to Falana, Bobrisky approached Folarin on May 4, asking for N3 million to secure a special arrangement within the prison. Folarin reportedly declined, advising Bobrisky not to contact him again without proper authorization. Falana expressed frustration over the false accusations, calling the spread of such rumors "infantile radicalism."
Falana urged the public to disregard the baseless allegations circulating on social media, emphasizing his firm stance against unethical conduct and unfounded claims.
