Four unidentified students from Kwara State University (KWASU) in Malete, Moro local government area, were apprehended by the police for allegedly fatally assaulting a fellow student. The incident reportedly occurred in a private hostel outside the university premises, although the arrests were made recently, with the occurrence taking place the week before last.
The victim, whose identity remains unknown at this time, was allegedly recording the four students without their consent while they were engaged in a discussion. When confronted about his actions, the victim was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation, leading to the four students attacking him in retaliation.
Sadly, the victim succumbed to the injuries sustained from the assault. The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the incident, stating that the four suspects are in custody while investigations are ongoing.
