Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command attached to the Iddo police division have arrested Nuhu Ezra of Gosa Kipikipi village, Lugbe, Abuja, in possession of a human skull and bones. The arrest occurred on Tuesday around 9 pm, following credible intelligence.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday, July 10, by FCT Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh, the suspect was apprehended with the body parts and, upon interrogation, claimed he had picked them up from the bush in Kuje while hunting, intending to sell them for six hundred thousand naira (N600,000).
SP Adeh's statement noted, “The suspect, who was found with the body parts upon interrogation, stated that he picked them up from the bush while hunting at Kuje and had the intention to sell the body parts for six hundred thousand naira (N600,000).”
The Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, has ordered a thorough investigation to determine the origin of the body parts, identify the intended buyer, ascertain whether the suspect killed anyone to obtain the body parts, and uncover how long the suspect has been engaged in this alleged business.
