First Lady Distributes Palliatives to 2,400 Less Privileged in Kaduna

First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, launched the distribution of palliatives to 2,400 less privileged residents in Kaduna State, including People With Disabilities (PWDs), orphanages, widows, and women with HIV. Represented by the Wife of Kaduna Governor, Hajia Hafsat Uba Sani, Tinubu emphasized the initiative aims to alleviate economic hardship for vulnerable groups.

Senator Tinubu highlighted the government's efforts under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to improve the country's economy, calling for patience and cooperation from citizens. She expressed her dedication to assisting Nigeria's most vulnerable populations, particularly PWDs, through these palliative measures.

Kaduna's Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, Hajia Rabi Salisu, explained that the distribution included 2,400 bags of rice, benefiting families from all 23 local government areas. The recipients were drawn from various groups, including PWDs, orphanages, widows, people with HIV, NYSC Corps members, and religious organizations.

Hajia Hafsat Uba Sani also provided cash donations to complement the food items. Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, with Suleiman Abdullahi, Chairman of PWDs in Kaduna, noting the gesture shows the government’s care for the less privileged. He assured the aid would be distributed equitably and prayed for the continued success of the leaders.
