First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Condoles with Zamfara Over Tragic School Fire

First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic fire incident that claimed the lives of 17 pupils at an Islamic school in Zamfara State.

In a statement on Thursday, she extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, Governor Dauda Lawal, and the people of Zamfara State, praying for strength and comfort for those affected.

Call for Safety Measures

Acknowledging the devastating impact of the incident, the First Lady emphasized the need for stricter safety measures in public facilities to prevent future tragedies.

“This once again brings to mind the need for precautionary safety measures in all our public facilities. I pray that such will not reoccur, not only in Zamfara State but across Nigeria,” she stated.

Prayers for the Victims

She also prayed for the peaceful repose of the victims, saying:

“May Allah grant the souls of the departed Aljanah Firdaus.”

The First Lady’s statement highlights the urgent need for improved fire safety awareness and stricter safety regulations in public institutions, particularly schools, to protect children and prevent further tragedies.
