Katsina

Former Katsina State Governor, Ibrahim Shema, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) after serving as governor under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 2007 to 2015.

Shema made his defection known after registering at the Shema Ward party office in Dutsin-ma Local Government Area, where he was issued an APC membership card by the state’s party Chairman, Alhaji Sani Aliyu-Daura.

Commending Governor Dikko Radda and his predecessor Aminu Masari for their roles in securing the defection, Aliyu-Daura assured Shema of equal treatment within the party.

In response, Governor Radda expressed that Shema's defection marked a historic shift in the state's political landscape, emphasizing that it was a reunion with political family members, calling on other patriotic citizens to join hands in the state's development.
