The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to arraign former Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello today, Thursday, November 28, at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Bello, his nephew Ali Bello, and two others, Dauda Suleiman and Abdulsalam Hudu, will appear before Justice Emeka Nwite to answer a 19-count charge. The allegations include money laundering, breach of trust, and misappropriation of public funds, totaling ₦80.2 billion.

The EFCC claims that the defendants were involved in fraudulent financial activities during Bello's tenure as governor. The case underscores the commission’s intensified efforts to combat corruption among public officials.
