Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin have called on Nigerians to embrace unity, tolerance, and perseverance as they celebrate Easter. The governor, speaking in Jos, and the senator, in Abuja, emphasized the importance of prayer for national unity and peaceful co-existence.
Governor Mutfwang, in a statement by his spokesman Gang Bere, urged Nigerians to not just observe Easter as a ritual but to live out their faith in God and in their interactions with others. He highlighted the need for collaboration to address shared concerns and emphasized the importance of peace in overcoming challenges in Plateau State.
Similarly, Deputy Senate President Barau, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, congratulated Christians on the Easter celebration. He commended them for completing the Lenten season and encouraged all Nigerians to reflect on the nation's current state, advocating for prayers and sacrifice as means to effect positive change.
