Kaduna Governor Uba Sani has revealed that he maintains regular communication with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, discussing the security challenges in the state twice daily. This disclosure was made during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Monday.
The Nation reported a recent incident where bandits invaded the LEA Primary and Junior Secondary School, Kuriga in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, kidnapping 312 students and the principal, Abubakar Isah. Additionally, at least 86 individuals were abducted in Tantatu and Aguba communities in the Kufana District of Kajuru Local Government Area on Sunday.
Sani expressed confidence in Tinubu and the service chiefs, affirming their dedication to resolving the insecurity in Nigeria. He stated, “Mr. President is worried and concerned. I speak to Mr. President twice daily on this issue, and he showed a lot of concern. He is committed, and I have tremendous belief in what the president is doing."
The governor further emphasized the collaborative efforts being made, mentioning meetings with the National Security Adviser (NSA) and the service chiefs, all of whom share concerns over the security situation. Sani assured that President Tinubu, with his leadership, will address the problem effectively, expressing optimism in overcoming the challenges in due time.
