Governor Yusuf Pledges Support for Kwankwasiyya Media Forum, Donates ₦30 Million

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has committed to enhancing the capacity of the New Nigeria Peoples Party's (NNPP) Kwankwasiyya Media Forum in recognition of their dedication to promoting government policies and programs.

The governor made the announcement during an empowerment program organized by the forum at the Coronation Hall, Kano Government House, marking his first official engagement of 2025, which coincided with his 62nd birthday.

Governor Yusuf highlighted the forum's crucial role in bridging the gap between the government and the public, ensuring citizens are informed about developmental initiatives. He praised their professional and respectful approach to political discourse, expressing confidence in their ability to positively influence even the fiercest critics of the NNPP.

In a press statement by his spokesman, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, the governor announced a ₦30 million contribution to the forum to boost their enlightenment and advocacy efforts.

The governor also lauded the leadership of the forum, particularly Chairman Alhaji Nagoda Murtala Zawai, Nura Bakwankwashe, and Ali Gyara Hausawa, for their unwavering commitment to fostering public understanding of government projects. He pledged further collaboration and promised to engage the forum’s executive members in future empowerment programs.

Earlier, the forum’s Chairman, Nagoda, revealed that they had raised ₦11 million from NNPP supporters, Commissioners, and aides to support the empowerment initiative for media vanguards.

Governor Yusuf’s support reinforces his administration’s commitment to fostering transparency and public engagement while strengthening the NNPP’s outreach efforts.
