Armed robbers broke into the home of former Ijebu-Ode Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Emilola Gazal, early Thursday morning, stealing money, valuables, and his car.
Gazal, who also publishes The Roots Magazine, told reporters the attack happened around 2 a.m. at his house in Ijebu-Ode GRA.
According to him, three armed men forced him to hand over all the cash in his possession and even made him transfer the money in his bank accounts to theirs, leaving only ₦5,000 behind. They also took his wife’s jewelry and his ash-colored car.
“I’m just heading to report the case at the police stations in Igbeba and Obalende,” he said.
