The organisers of Nigeria's most prestigious music awards, The Headies, have released the nominations list for the 17th edition of the awards.
Leading the nominations is Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodu Blvck, with five nominations, followed closely by Ayra Starr and Shallipopi, who each secured three nominations.
The late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad), also received three posthumous nominations, underscoring his lasting impact on the Nigerian music scene.
The categories announced include Music Video of the Year, Best Vocal Performance (Female), Best Rap Single, Rookie of the Year, Best R&B Single, Songwriter of the Year, Producer of the Year, Best Recording of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Street-Hop Artiste, Afrobeats Single of the Year, Lyricist on the Roll, and Best Inspirational Single.
