Heavy Security at Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja for #EndBadGovernance Protest

Protest

The Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja is heavily guarded as #EndBadGovernance protesters commence their action. Armed security personnel are present to maintain order and enforce the court's restrictions, which limit protest activities to the designated venue.

Protesters assembled at the stadium as early as 6 am, singing solidarity songs, under the leadership of Human Rights Activist Deji Adeyanju. The atmosphere was charged with determination as participants voiced their demands for better governance.

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Bennet Igweh, is present at the scene, urging protesters to move inside the stadium as per the court order. However, the protesters are insisting on their right to demonstrate outside the stadium, challenging the restrictions imposed on their activities.

The tension between protesters and security forces highlights the ongoing struggle for the right to peaceful assembly and the call for government accountability.
