Herdsmen injured several people, including members of the Ondo State Security Network, in Akure North local government area. The attack occurred while Amotekun personnel were enforcing the anti-open grazing law in Igoba, along Ado Road.
The incident began as Amotekun operatives were moving cows grazing on a farm. They were ambushed by armed Fulani herdsmen who attacked with stones, bottles, cutlasses, and guns. Jimoh Adeniken, the spokesman for Ondo Amotekun Corps, reported that over 120 cows were found ravaging the farms, but no herders were initially present.
