Hezbollah Spokesman Mohammed Afif Killed in Israeli Attack on Beirut

Hezbollah has confirmed the death of its spokesman, Mohammed Afif, in an Israeli attack on the Ras Al Naba district of Beirut. Afif, described as a "pillar" of Hezbollah's media and political operations, played a prominent role in shaping the group's messaging and had recently led press conferences.

Afif's death comes amid escalating tensions and follows the loss of Hezbollah's former Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, in an Israeli airstrike in September. The attack targeted an office of the Baath Party, where Afif was reportedly present.

Lebanese authorities reported that the strike killed at least three other people and injured 14 in the densely populated district. Afif’s loss marks another blow to Hezbollah's leadership, as the group continues to grapple with mounting challenges on multiple fronts.

Hezbollah and pro-Iranian factions have condemned the attack, framing it as part of a broader regional escalation involving Israel.
