He noted that President Tinubu campaigned on the "Renewed Hope Agenda," not as a magician but as a statesman aiming to restore hope.

Tunji-Ojo acknowledged that recent government policies, including the removal of petrol subsidies and the unification of forex windows, have increased the cost of living. Appealing for patience, Tunji-Ojo likened Nigeria's current situation to a surgical process, stating that the nation will emerge stronger. He called on Nigerians to support the government's initiatives, emphasizing that rebuilding the economy requires time and steadfast effort, and that all avenues of engagement should be explored before resorting to protests.
