Iran has stated that it sees no need to send voluntary or auxiliary forces to Gaza or Lebanon, asserting that regional countries can defend themselves against Israeli aggression. This was highlighted by Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, during a press conference in Tehran. He emphasized that nations like Lebanon and Palestine possess the necessary power and capabilities to protect themselves.
Addressing questions about Iran’s involvement, Kanaani clarified that no request had been made to send Iranian forces to aid in the conflict. He reaffirmed Iran’s position, stating that the country’s approach is guided by wisdom, aimed at maintaining peace and security in the region.
However, Kanaani stressed that Iran remains vigilant, and if needed, the country would not hesitate to act in support of its national security and regional allies. His remarks come amid ongoing deadly airstrikes by Israel in Lebanon, marking the largest military operation in the region since 2006.
