Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, held urgent phone discussions with European counterparts following Iran's missile strike on Israel, according to Iranian state media. Araghchi spoke with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and officials from the UK, France, and other nations to address the situation.
The missile attack, executed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), involved 200 missiles aimed at Israeli air bases and Mossad's headquarters in retaliation for the deaths of prominent figures, including Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, and an Iranian general.
Despite the strike, Araghchi emphasized that Iran does not seek further escalation but warned that any retaliatory actions by Israel would result in a stronger response from Iran. The Israeli army estimated that around 180 missiles were launched in the attack.
