On Wednesday, Israel launched a new series of airstrikes targeting what it described as terrorist sites in Beirut, Lebanon. The Israeli army announced the strikes on the social media platform X, stating that evacuation orders were issued for residents in several buildings across the southern suburbs of the capital. As of now, there have been no reports of casualties or damage from these attacks.
The strikes came just hours after Iran executed a massive missile assault on Israel, reportedly firing around 180 rockets as a response to the recent killings of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. Iran has warned that further attacks would be devastating if Israel retaliates.
