Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has suspended the Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwalu Sankara, following allegations made by the Kano State Hisbah. The Hisbah Board arrested Sankara in an uncompleted building, allegedly in the company of a married woman.
The arrest was confirmed by the Director General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Dr. Abba Sufi, who disclosed that Sankara was taken into custody on Friday evening. Despite the allegations, Sankara has denied any wrongdoing, calling the accusations false, baseless, and a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation.
