The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a 13-year-old boy, Umar Hassan, and three other suspects for providing information to terrorists. Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, briefed newsmen on Thursday, revealing that the informants' actions led to several attacks, including cattle rustling and kidnapping in the state.

Hassan, along with Lawai Umaru, 70, Ibrahim Lawai, 22, and Abdulganiyu Isah, 22, were apprehended for their roles in aiding armed banditry. The arrests were made following intelligence reports and the collaborative efforts of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps. The suspects confessed to their crimes, implicating accomplices still at large.

In a separate incident, the Command arrested Musaddik Abdullahi, a member of a notorious kidnapping syndicate, for his involvement in the disappearance and murder of Isiya Lawal. The Anti-Kidnapping Unit traced and arrested Abdullahi, who confessed to being part of a group that demanded a ₦600,000 ransom and killed the victim.

Investigations into both cases are ongoing, as the police continue efforts to curb criminal activities in Katsina State.
