Kebbi State has reported the death of another pilgrim, Maryamu Mayalo from Maiyama Local Government Area, who passed away in Mecca after a prolonged illness. The announcement was made by the Executive Chairman of the Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Faruk Inabo, through the Chief Press Secretary to the governor.
Maryamu Mayalo died on Sunday at King Abdulazeez Hospital in Mecca. Her burial was held after Asr prayer at the Haram Mosque, following Islamic rites. Governor Nasir Idris expressed condolences, praying for her to be granted Aljanna Firdausi and for her family to find strength in their loss.

The governor also extended his condolences to the Pilgrims Welfare Agency and the family of Alhaji Malami Besse, a Hajj guide from Koko Besse Local Government Area, who passed away after returning from Saudi Arabia. He prayed for Allah to grant them eternal rest and comfort for their families.
This follows a recent report by the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board of another pilgrim’s death three weeks ago. Abubakar Abdullahi from Gulma in Argungu Local Government Area also died in Makkah after a brief illness.
