Kidnapped Sister of Senior Advocate Released After Six Days

Seliat Raji, sister to Senior Advocate of Nigeria Ahmed Raji, has been released after six days in captivity. She was kidnapped in Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, last Thursday night. During the abduction, the gunmen killed a security guard who attempted to resist their operation.

The Baale Koso of Iseyinland, High Chief Sikiru Adeniji, confirmed her release to The PUNCH, stating that she was freed around 2:00am on Tuesday following the payment of ransom. High Chief Adeniji, who is also the victim’s husband, mentioned, "Yes. They have released her after six days. She spent six days with them. They released her around 2:00am today. On the ransom, yes but I don’t want to say anything about the ransom. She is currently at home but we will take her to a hospital soon for a medical check-up."
