Kogi State Vows to Rescue Abducted Students Alive

The government of Kogi State has vowed to rescue the abducted students of Confluence University of Science and Technology, CUSTEC, Osara, Okene, alive. Bandits invaded the institution on Thursday night, abducting some students while they were studying for their exams.

In a statement by Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, the state government assured that they were on top of the situation. Governor Ahmed Ododo activated the security architecture immediately to track the kidnappers and ensure the safe rescue of the abducted students.

Security agents, including local hunters, have been deployed to comb the area and ensure the safe rescue of the students. The government commended the local hunters and other security agents for their gallantry and dedication, which prevented the kidnappers from having a field day.

The government also assured students, parents, and the entire people of Kogi State that all abducted students would be rescued alive. Governor Ododo directed the positioning of security agents around all tertiary institutions in the state to prevent future incidents. The state government reiterated its commitment to not submit to terror and assured that they would prevail in ensuring the safe rescue of the abducted students.
