Former Minister of Defence and Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 Presidential election, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, expressed confidence in Nigeria's ability to end the current insecurity, citing the country's ample manpower and resources.

Speaking at the Mini National Convention of the NNPP in Abuja, Kwankwaso emphasized that with adequate equipment, the nation's military could effectively tackle the security challenges.

Kwankwaso criticized the leadership styles of both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that they have failed the nation. He called for a change in leadership, highlighting the need for a party like NNPP to provide an alternative to the existing political parties.

Addressing the security situation in the country, especially in northern Nigeria, Kwankwaso expressed concern over the impact of insecurity on education and livelihoods. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring security and eradicating poverty, emphasizing the importance of education for all Nigerians.

The National Chairman of NNPP, Dr. Ajuji Ahmed, echoed Kwankwaso's sentiments, stating that the party is not owned by any individual or association. He called for unity among Nigerians to avert further challenges and emphasized the need for a third option like NNPP to bring about real change in the country.
