Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has offered his condolences on the passing of retired Justice Ahmad Belgore, a former presiding Justice of the Ilorin Division of the Court of Appeal. The governor expressed his sympathies in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Wednesday.
Governor AbdulRazaq extended his heartfelt condolences to the Ilorin Emirate, the legal community, and the Belgore family, describing Justice Belgore as a legal luminary and a prominent community leader who supported many.
Additionally, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, also mourned Justice Belgore's passing, noting it as a significant loss to the Ilorin Emirate and the entire nation.
Justice Ahmad Belgore passed away at the age of 70 on Tuesday night in Ilorin, just days before his 71st birthday. He retired from the Court of Appeal on April 18, 2023, after a distinguished career.
